Townsville: Queensland Solar City Bid.

On Sunday 19 March 2006, The Townsville Solar Cities Comunity Day, organised by Ergon Energy in partnership with Townsville City Council and other consortium members, involved displays and giveaways for the public to learn about solar energy and energy efficiency, the main focus of the day was to involve the community in forming the words ‘SOLAR CITY’ on the beach.
