The figures below are for Vantassel Street landfill calculated using LADS III software. The figures shown below are 'calculated' emissions to groundwater that could be expected assuming the quantities and type of wastes in the tip. However, in reality, because Townsville's tips are relatively dry compared to the norm and because the landfill is clay-lined, it is believed that these emissions do not actually occur. |
