SERPENTINE LAGOON

This tropical
wetland produces lots of high value fodder for the cattle
which share the wetland
with waterfowl both in high numbers
Melaleuca forest
and open grassland with exotic weed (chinee apple) invasion
which
degrade both the wildlife habitat and grazing value
The benefit of seasonal inundation in the peripheral areas of the wetland.
At the end of the Dry Season in November 97 abundant green fodder is still
available for cattle
