MT STUART ECO-INTERPRETATIVE FACILITIES AND SCENIC WALK

At the top of Mt Stuart is a first class viewing platform with panoramic views (see image below) of Townsville City and the surrounding Tropical Savanna and Coast. In the distance you can see Magnetic Island and the Great Barrier Reef World Hertiage Area. Looking up the coast you can see the Coastal Ranges of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. There is a short 20 minute walk around the summit with interpretative signage and spectacular views. See below for environmental interpretation sheets giving information on flora, fauna and geography of Mt Stuart and the Townsville surrounds. The Mt Stuart summit is a 25 minute drive from the Townsville CBD (3km from Wulguru turn right off the Charters Towers highway).
