The Australian State of the Environment (SoE) Reporting web site provides information on SoE reporting and is the site for the 1996 and 2001 national SoE reports.

The 2001 Report was tabled in Parliament in accordance with the EPBC Act. The Report was guided by seven theme reports that used environmental indicators as a reporting tool. Both the 1996 and the 2001 Reports used some information that has been published in a series of technical reports. Information on the background and purpose of SoE reporting is also provided
