Carbon Trading Links

Carbon trading is one of the key tools to reduce greenhouse emissions as it allows for emissions abatement at the lowest cost. Under Kyoto there are a number of trading mechanisms such as Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation. Below are hyperlinks to various sites with information about carbon trading.

Asia Carbon Pte Ltd was formed in February 2003. Its principal objective is to promote environmentally-friendly and sustainable projects that reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Asia. According to projections of the IPCC, Asia will emit about half of greenhouse gas emissions that are responsible for global warming by 2050. Asia Carbon Pte Ltd has therefore stepped forward to mitigate the effects of global warming.
