TCC & Community Partnership Agreements

The type of rehabilitation work includes revegetation and weed management of Council natural areas and other sites throughout the area identified by community as being important for local conservation.

In order to facilitate greater cooperation and understanding between the Council and the community, TCC has worked with each group to develop a partnership agreement. The purpose of these community partnership agreements is to be able to develop understanding and awareness between the community group and the council.

The agreement specifies and identifies what each party wish to do and agree to do. The agreement details would each party would like to do, requires to be done, and how communication will occur. The agreement specifies:

  • the objectives and purposes;
  • what areas to be worked on or in;
  • resources and support to be provided; and
  • the needs and priorities of each party

The Agreement is developed with the community group via an iterative process. Once agreement is obtained the both parties sign off and in some cases Council endorsement is sought.
